Exebenus has signed an exclusive agreement with Sumitomo Australia Pty Ltd to promote the Exebenus Pulse drilling and completions and machine learning software solutions to customers in the Oceania region.

Sumitomo Australia, part of the Sumitomo Corporation Group, has established close relationships with players in the region’s oil and gas industry through its downhole tubing and casing business. With this agreement, Exebenus intends to expand its reach by Sumitomo Australia promoting the Exebenus software in conjunction with their existing products.

“Oil and gas operators everywhere are facing an unprecedented situation and are striving to transform their businesses during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” says Olav Revheim, CEO Exebenus. “They are compelled to make their processes more efficient, more reliable and safer, and reduce the time and cost of oilfield operations. Digitalization is critical to this transformation. It will streamline operations by helping companies access information and activate best practices.”

Key to transforming drilling and completions operations is replacing today’s text-rich PDF work instructions with standardized digital operating procedures. Exebenus Pulse generates digital procedures that can be merged with real-time data to automatically track and validate activities. Combined with machine learning agents, the solution can predict hazardous well conditions and increase situational awareness to increase the quality and efficiency of operations.

The combined Sumitomo-Exebenus offering will enable operators to succeed in their digitalization transformation by starting them on their journey towards automation.
